Edupora ("App", "we", "our", or "us") is an educational application that loads an official educational website inside a secure WebView. It is designed for students, guardians, and teachers. This page explains how the app uses permissions, what it may access, and how data is handled.

1. Information We Collect

Edupora does not directly collect, store, or share personal information from users within the mobile app. Login activities, student data, and academic information are managed and stored by the educational website that the WebView displays.

2. Permissions We Use

  • Internet Access: Required to load educational content via the WebView.
  • Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used for announcements, reminders, and updates via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
  • File Access (app-specific): Temporary local saving of generated academic documents (e.g., PDFs). Files remain on the user’s device and are not uploaded by the app.

3. Data Handling

- We do not sell or rent user information.
- Data shown inside the app is controlled by the educational website and subject to their privacy and data policies.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging is only used to deliver notifications and does not cause Edupora to collect extra personal data.

4. Children’s Privacy

The app is designed for students, guardians, and teachers, including minors where applicable. Edupora itself does not collect personal data. Parents and guardians should review account access and supervise student use where appropriate.

5. Security

All WebView communications should use HTTPS. Because Edupora does not store user data, it reduces surface area for data exposure. Please ensure your institution’s website follows secure practices.

6. Third-Party Services

Edupora uses:

  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — for push notifications
  • Android WebView — to display the educational website

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. Updated versions will appear on this page with a revised effective date.
